Blog Cafés in Kropyvnytskyi: Youth, Stress, Communication, and Inclusion

In September and October 2025, five blog cafés were held in Kropyvnytskyi as part of the “Together We Can” programme, implemented by the NGO Human Rights Foundation.
These meetings became open spaces for young people, educators, opinion leaders, and civic activists – for everyone seeking new approaches to community development and mental well-being.

The topics covered media literacy, crisis communication, emotional regulation, inclusion, and psychological resilience – key skills needed to navigate life and work in times of uncertainty.

Trainers: Vladyslava Onyshchenko, Yuliia Oliinychenko
This session focused on the role of youth in shaping the information space. Participants explored how podcasts can serve as tools for spreading truth, supporting civic initiatives, and uniting people around meaningful issues.

September 12 – Restoring Mental Health: A Workshop on Resilience

Trainers: Kateryna Patalakh, Oksana Zavina, Tetiana Bosonchenko

September 25 – The Role of Social Media in Crisis Communication

Trainers: Iryna Reznik, Anna Borodavkina
The session explored how social media can be used in times of crisis – as a tool for communication, coordination, and emotional support. Participants created their own anti-crisis posts and developed ethical guidelines for responsible online interaction.

September 26 – The Role of Emotions in Conflict: How to Manage Yourself and Understand Others

Trainer: Anna Tytchenko
During the interactive exercises “Emotional Thermometer” and “Emotion Translator,” participants practiced recognizing their emotions, understanding others’ feelings, and engaging in constructive, non-aggressive dialogue.

October 9 – Agents of Change: Building an Inclusive Society

Trainers: Olena Prokopchuk, Nataliia Hapichenko, Oleksandra Shevchuk
The final blog café focused on accessibility and inclusion. Participants discussed respect for diversity, practiced basic sign language, and explored ways to make public spaces more open and welcoming for everyone.

The blog café series in Kropyvnytskyi demonstrated that the strength of a community lies in cooperation, empathy, and humanity.
We sincerely thank all trainers, participants, and partners for their openness, collaboration, and commitment to positive change.

The project is implemented by the NGO Human Rights Foundation within the “Together We Can” programme with the support of IFA and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
