6 Blog Cafés in Chernivtsi Region: Media Literacy, Support, and Meaningful Blogging
Between June and August 2025, six blog cafés were held across the Chernivtsi region as part of the “Together We Can” programme. These gatherings took place in communities striving for dialogue, resilience, and development. Topics included media literacy, mental health, conscious blogging, working with the media, and communication in times of war.
June 4 – Hlyboka
Topic: Communication through Networks
Moderator: Halyna Dobrovolska
Participants explored the challenges and opportunities for young leaders in building communication strategies, creating public campaigns, and generating ideas for collective actions.
June 11 – Dobrynivtsi (Yurkovetska Community)
Topic: How to Engage with the Media During Wartime
Moderator: Halyna Dobrovolska
The session focused on the role of media in times of war. Participants practiced public speaking, crafting clear messages, and responding to difficult questions during interviews.
July 8 – Velykyi Kuchuriv
Topic: Conscious Blogging: From Planning to Implementation
Moderator: Vitaliia Kozmenko
This café focused on podcast creation, detecting fakes and deepfakes on social media, and developing content strategies. Participants also worked on promotional materials for their own blog projects.
July 10 – Khotyn
Topic: Media Literacy in Wartime: How to Recognize AI-Generated Fakes
Moderator: Vitaliia Kozmenko
Participants completed fact-checking exercises, analysed manipulative messages, and learned how to detect disinformation and AI-generated fake content.
July 30 – Chernivtsi
Topic: Mental Health as a Resource. Self-Care in Times of Change
Trainer: Olha Sapa
This session focused on recognising signs of burnout, strengthening mental resilience, and using self-care tools such as visualization, group exercises, and reflection techniques.
August 1 – Chernivtsi
Topic: Returning to Yourself. Psychosocial Support through Art Therapy
Trainer: Olha Sapa
Participants engaged in storytelling, resource-based art practices, and created a safe space for expression and emotional recovery.
Each blog café served not only as a place to gain knowledge but also as a platform for strengthening internal resilience, building community support, and taking the first steps toward public engagement.
