CIVIL SOCIETY
Civil society: is a comprised groups or organizations working in the interest of the citizens but operating outside of the government and for profit sectors.
Examples of civil societies are: school, churches, universities, colleges, e.t.c
Functions of civil society.
- They provide the basis limitations of the state of power.
- Serves democracy by offering citizens additional channels for articulating diverse interest.
- Play important role in consulting a democratic political system.
- Plays an important role in implementation of new ideas.
- They rise general awareness to people.
